Carl Schenck AG, Darmstadt –
Over 125 years of history

Carl Schenck founded his “Eisengießerei und Waagenfabrik”, the modern Carl Schenck AG, on the 1st October 1881 in Darmstadt. The perspicacity and international orientation of the company founder, ensured early success and a healthy order book for the young Darmstadt company. Thanks to dynamic development, the product range was extended in 1902 to include conveyor technology, followed in 1907 by the start of development and production of balancing machines. At the end of the 1920’s, the product range was again expanded to dynamometers and brake testing stands.
