The 70s –
Treading the path to new dimensions

1971 saw the launch of the electronic wattmeter measuring principle. The first computer-controlled balancing systems were introduced in 1974. The path to the digital age changed the balancing process. At the beginning of the 80s, microprocessors also started appearing in measuring technology. For the first time ever, computer technology was enabling a real sense of user control. Computer-Aided Balancing, in short: CAB infiltrated as a SCHENCK brand and became a synonym for the potentials of the new technology.

Today the CAB 920 and CAB 950 represent the 5th generation of the legendary measuring systems on the market. Once again the new standard for quality, precision and reliability has been set.
